9 months tomorrow

Wow, can you believe it!  I've been a real boy as long as Mummy had a bump while she was making me.

I had a nice day yesterday and had some fun tummy time with Daddy.  He bought me a very little truck a short while ago that has a slightly soft body and runs like crazy when you push it.  I love it as it goes so well and the wheels are good for chewing.  We were playing with that and I was rolling and crawling along. I'm very good at holding things and picking things up now and I can clap and wave too.  Life suddenly became more fun!

Today I went to Mottisfont with Mummy and Daddy and had a lovely day in the gardens and feeding some very tame ducks.  I was very vocal and smiley and quite a few people came up to talk to me.  Someone even asked if I was for sale!

Daddy just took a very light camera kit...he used his Nikon D300 with a Voigtlander 90mm APO Lanthar macro lens and some of the time a small Nikon SB400 for a bit of fill flash.  Daddy likes the Voigtlander as its so small, has lovely build quality and is manual focus.

Daddy was very excited because he saw a big female golden-ringed dragonfly snatch a fly in mid air then land close to him to eat it.  It perched on a plant identity tag and Daddy got very close to it.  Later on he saw it again, but this time perched on a rose.  Its Daddy's first dragonfly on camera this year...yay!

This is me waving

There was so much going on I had to come out of my pushchair and explore

I picked a bit of flower and examined it closely

It was so much fun on the grass I was chatting away and being very happy

Daddy was very pleased with this duck portrait which was hard to take on a manual focus lens

I so loved it when Mummy fed the ducks...they were nibbling her hands and making her laugh.  It cost me some of my breadsticks, but it was worth it!

Summer is here

Its June and it hasn't been an easy week!  I got sicky and have had a bad tummy for a few days.  Then we all got it to some extent.  Mummy felt ill for a couple of days then yesterday Daddy had a 24 hour flu-like bug and Ruru has had it longer.  Yesterday was hard work for Mummy and Daddy as I kept Mummy up a lot of the night then she had to hand me to Daddy at 5am so she could sleep before going to work in Southampton.   Daddy didn't feel well but we had a nice day playing at home until Mummy got home...then Daddy went to bed for an hour!  Apparently some of my nappies have been like the end of the world, especially the one where I shot Daddy with some poop!!

We went to The Print Room in Bournemouth for lunch on Wednesday.  I was very good and munched on some organic carrot sticks.

Today I had to go to my Montessori Nursery because Daddy was at work all day and Mummy got called out to do interpreting some of the day.  Mummy then took me to Moors Valley.  When I got home I looked so cute in my nice blue onesy that Daddy had to take some pictures.  It was just as well he did because when Mummy gave me my dinner I was sick all over her, me, the chair and the floor.  While Mummy scrubbed me Daddy had to scrub the conservatory....dear me!  I'm still a happy boy most of the time and I was only really unhappy for a day or two when I felt really bad.

Anyway, here I am in my posh summer onesy...it says sleepy monsters on it...I may be a little monster but I'm not always sleepy!

Off to Birmingham and Warwickshire

Last weekend (22nd may) Mummy and Daddy went away for one night and left me with my Nana and Granddad.  Daddy took his D300 camera with small 35mm and 90mm lenses.

On the way up to Birmingham they stopped at a very old house called Baddesley Clinton near Warwick.

On sunday evening Mummy and Daddy went to the "Rush" concert at the LG Arena at the Birmingham NEC.  I was very loud, very spectacular and very good.  Daddy took some video and snapshots on his Ipod using the Hipstamatic photo application to simulate old film..

After breakfast

These photos show me yesterday after having my breakfast.  I love sitting in my high chair, which Mummy got from the car boot sale.  Daddy used his Sigma 85mm portrait lens at wide apertures and exposed for the ambient light before popping in some bounce flash from the side.

Today I went to Lisa, my childminder, and she is sure I have teeth coming through.  I do get pains in my mouth and am a bit prone to being grumpy at the moment, so I think she is right.

Mid May 2011

Its been a while since I was on here as Daddy has been rather busy and tired, but he has taken some photos.

We had a lovely day at Exbury Gardens last week with Auntie Sal and Nana and Granddad.  I've never seen so many plants.  I did get a bit grumpy when it went way past my lunch time, but after a pitstop I was happy again.

There were some fish as big as me in the lake that Granddad seemed to like very much

This was the first time I had really smelt and touched plants and I was fascinated.  I even tried tasting them but Mummy and Daddy said that was a step too far!

Daddy got up very early today but when I woke up Mummy said I was extra cute and called him upstairs to take some photos as I played and crawled on the bed.  Apparently I'm a monkey.  The health visitor came round to check me today and said I was doing very well......I am normal weight and height and very responsive.

I still love my smiley snail and he tastes good too!

Mummy and Daddy are very pleased with the garden this year, especially the giant Icelandic poppies and they take me for walks outside to see the flowers and pond.
