Hinton Ampner

Today (Sunday 25th Sept) we went to Hinton Ampner, which is a nice National Trust house and garden in Hampshire.

I was very good and had a lovely day going round in my pushchair most of the time.  I did come out for a nice play on the terraced garden and played peekaboo behind the bushes.

We had a lovely lunch in the tea room and I eventually crashed out to sleep just before we came home.
Huge and knarled old oak tree in the car park

These were the biggest onions Daddy has ever seen!

There were some spooky graves under a big old yew tree

The yew is amazing...its like a giant spider on its back!

My First Train Ride!

After my great birthday party I had to wait a few days before opening some of the presents I got from my friends because my Daddy was at work all the time and wanted to see me open them!  Here I am opening some presents....a lovely Tappy the Turtle hammering toy and some maracas, which I knew what to do with straight away because I'm an experienced music bug!

Today things got really exciting again as Mummy and Daddy took me to the garden centre for lunch and then to Moors Valley, where I went on my first train ride...yay!  I looked a bit intrigued at first but when my hair started blowing in the wind and the train started to zoom along I got very excited indeed.  I was calling out and laughing.

Here I am after my lunch at the garden centre

It was very exciting half way as we had to get off and change trains

I was in a very good mood afterward when we went for a walk but I did keep pulling my socks off!

My 1st Birthday Party

On Wednesday we all went for a walk at Kingston Lacy so I had a good ride in my pushchair.

Daddy took me to Moors Valley for a nice walk and to feed the swans and ducks.  He only had his little iPod to take some snaps with.  I got very excited when Daddy let me stand up on the fishing platform and I called out and waved at them.  They thought I had some more food and came over in a big convoy!  The big swan came very close to me and Daddy said he was getting a bit worried in case the big bird got cross, but the swan was nice to me.

Daddy took me for short whizz at the bottom end of the slide
Mummy organised a really great birthday party for me on Saturday 17th September and she invited lots of my friends from my busy social life.  We had the party in the Wesley Centre, which is a cozy room behind one of the churches in Ringwood.

Mummy got the Music Bugs lady to come so we had her leading us all in songs and actions with all the very interesting props she brings along.

Mummy also made lots of nice food including a special cake for me.  Daddy took some photos for us and then had to go to work as he has been very busy...in fact I have hardly seen him the last few days.  Last  night he got in from work at 9:15pm and then got called out again at 9:40!  I didn't see him again until tonight but he gave me a nice shoulder ride.  Daddy said his best moment at the party was me getting a pair of cymbals and playing them like crazy!

Cousin JB came along and seemed to enjoy it as much as us Munchkins

Here are some pictures of all the Munchkins having fun:

A few other things

In all the excitement of my birthday and a busy week for Daddy I haven't told you about a few other things.  Actually Daddy's computer had a problem with its hard disc drive and had to go away to be fixed and he has just finished rebuilding all the data.  Its working like lightning now.

I like reading books with Mummy or Daddy now so I am very happy I have a good library to choose from!

On the August Bank Holiday Daddy went to do the Taekwondo demonstration at Verwood Rustic Fair and Mummy took some pictures for us.  Here is a photo of Daddy (far left) landing a kick on someone's tummy in the free sparring!!!  My Daddy is very active for an old bloke...he's alright my Dad!

Here I am having a shoulder ride at the show.  When all the ladies started doing Zumba dancing I was dancing on Daddy's  shoulders, which amused all the people around us.

Daddy did his very hard final coloured belt grading on Saturday 10th September...Now he has a black stripe belt and the next grading is for black!

I went tanking about on all fours at the fair and liked picking up bits of straw to play with and eat!

Birthday Boy!!!!

Yay, its my first birthday and nobody can believe I have been here a year already.

I am growing so fast and now have a good mop of very blonde hair.  I am crawling around like crazy and standing up whenever I can.  I even try to walk between things now.  Two teeth have come through at the bottom as Daddy found out the other day when I kissed him on the nose and made it bleed...oops!  I have my tongue out a lot and dribble too while I'm teething.

I had a fantastic birthday.  A huge brown box arrived in the post and then lots of smaller things came in coloured paper wrappings.  I even had a visit from Nana and Granddad.

I'm getting very good at bashing my peg board...I'm not always very selective about what I bash so Mummy and Daddy have to keep an eye!

Daddy knows I love baby wheels and he got me a super car transporter with some extra cars...zoom, zoom!

Nana & Granddad had just come back from holiday in Scotland and got me a lovely Scottish jumper as well as a Bug tow-along toy...lucky me!

Auntie S and JB got me some lovely animal books in a neat box and a lovely warm jacket.

Uncle and Auntie M and Oli & Misa got me the thing in the big box.....wow!  I so needed a ride-on!  I was rather overwhelmed by it at first when it made lots of noise, but now I love just sitting on it!  I will get the hang of scooting about soon, I'm sure

Daddy says our house is one big trip hazard but being surrounded by toys is pretty cool I reckon!

Mummy baked a number one cake

Here is my ladybird shape and tow-along toy

Here I am playing with the shapes in my special shark T-shirt that I got in Port Isaac
Thankyou everyone for such a lovely birthday!
