Christmas Day 2010

Its my first Christmas and to be honest I'm a bit young to understand what all the fuss is about, but I did get lots of attention, which I love.

We all went to Nana and Granddad's house where the grown-ups ate a big dinner cooked beautifully by Nana.  Daddy says these Christmas days at Nana's could never be bettered.

People got me some lovely presents too!  When I grow up a bit James is going to show me how to do Lego.  We said hello to Uncle M, Auntie M and Oli and Misa online and i was really interested looking at the computer screen.

I was so tired by all the fuss that I went to sleep for hours Christmas night.  Daddy had to go to work on Boxing Day and he said it was minus 10 degrees when he arrived at 0645 in the morning!  Its nice and snuggly in my moses basket though and even better when I get to squeeze in with Mummy and Daddy.

Auntie Sal had us all over for a lovely evening on Boxing day after Daddy and Ruru finished work.  Daddy said the bubble and squeak was awesome and he can't wait 'til next year.

I had a little sleep in Mummy & Daddy's bed Christmas morning
Daddy got a really nice, sneaky shot of Auntie S on his Zeiss 100mm lens, which is one of his favourites
At the rare times when the grown-ups weren't playing "pass the baby" I was in my chair watching what was going on
Daddy says this shot is Nana creating a masterpiece
Cousin JB showed me his lovely new Lego
This is me looking intently at my Granddad!
Nana gave me a wonderful, squeaky bug which captured my attention very well
And I was still playing with my bug when Mummy took over

Wow!  JB has a big Lego shark too!
Everyone wanted a piece of me!
Everyone ripped open their presents
Nana & Granddad looked happy when they opened a book all about me!  I think they like me
Eventually even Nana got to relax

Christmas Eve 2010

We all had a really nice evening at Nana & Granddad's tonight with nibbles in front of a big fire.

The grown-ups invented a new game of pass the baby and Daddy tried to take some festive photos.

Granddad & I dressed up as maxi and mini santa!
By the time it was Nana's turn I was eating my hands!

Smiley bath time

Here are a few photos Daddy took of me after I had been having a bath with Mummy.  She put me in my own little bath wrapped in towels so I dried off while she was finishing her bath.  As usual I was very smiley and did a lot of talking as well as a bit of hand-eating!

When I was really little I used to cry and get really upset when I was taken out of the bath but now I'm quite happy and enjoy being dried and dressed.

Chilly Bournemouth

On Saturday we all went out for an Indian in Ringwood with our friends from Taekwondo.  I was all dressed up in a nice fleece jacket sent to me by Mummy's friend, Rachel.

On Sunday Mummy, Daddy and Nana and Granddad took me for a chilly walk along Bournemouth seafront.

I don't know what the fuss is all about but Mummy keeps worshiping me!

BRRRRRRRRR!

Wintry Portsmouth

Mummy had another job today in Portsmouth so Daddy and Nana were literally left holding the baby.

It was really icy, snowy and cold which was amazing as its so rare by the sea, so I'm lucky to see all this at under 3 months old!

Daddy wandered off a for about half an hour and took some shots at the historic docks.  He was there about 15 minutes before a security guard said he had got in by mistake as the docks were closed for health and safety reasons!  This H&S stuff seems a load of old bollox to me and I can't even walk yet...if you fall over isn't it your own fault!?  It was great a bit later as the sun broke through the fog and the light was really good.

I was very good too and only got a little upset when my lunch was a bit late.

Festive HMS Victory with snow and Xmas tree!
Sad day as Ark Royal came into Portsmouth for the last time.  Daddy says he would rather spend his taxpayers money on ships than Sky TV for layabouts!

HMS Warrior looked great too and those guys looked frozen, warming themselves by a barrel fire
Lovely late light as the fog broke

My First Snow

Mummy has just dressed me up in some cute winter clothes, cleared the snow off the car and has taken me to baby massage.

Some children have to wait years to see snow but for me it was only about 11 weeks!

Here are some photos that Daddy took of me at bath time last night.  Yay, I love bath time even if I was so hungry I was eating my hands!

Daddy was up very early this morning before it got light, as he says it doesn't snow very often and he wanted to take some photos.

Here is our house on this snowy morning!
Daddy says there is a 3-tier work ethic in this country...those that always work whatever happens, those that never work and teachers.  It makes him cross that when one snowflake falls, the lazy buggers all skive off!

Enter the dummy!

Daddy & Mummy resisted for a long time but finally got me a dummy to help comfort me when they are trying to get things done, if I'm unsettled or if they are out with me for a meal or similar.

I am very good most of the time but really like non-stop boob in the evenings and the dummy comforts me for a while until I really do need the real thing!

I don't have the dummy very often and when I am smiley, alert and awake I usually take it out myself anyway.  When I am in my chair, I can take it out, rest it on my chest and then pop it back in again using both hands.....Mummy & Daddy were very surprised when they saw me doing this at my age!  I even take it out and carry it in my hand for a long time.

I have had a lot of time with Daddy for the last week because he has been on leave.  When he talks to me I talk back as best I can and get very smiley.  In fact I sometimes laugh hysterically, especially when I get tickled.

Today I watched Daddy clean out the fish tank and checked out the lovely Fisher Price play station that Grandad & Nana brought back from Uncle M.  I love things with lots of colour and noise!

Here I am checking out my Avent dummy for the first time
When Daddy talked to me I took out the dummy and talked back very loud!
I'm getting strong and love grabbing daddy's fingers and pulling myself up
I talked to Daddy a lot today as Mummy was doing some paperwork
I was very smiley as usual until I really needed Mummy again!
