Its all been happening with Mummy and Daddy working a lot and having a new shower installed in their bathroom.

Daddy had me for a whole day last week and took me to music bugs where I sing and play instruments to music.  Mummy keeps taking me to rhyme time and messy play each week.  I have also been at nursery and to my childminder a few times and I love them both.

I am really growing fast and within a week just outgrew all my 6-9 month clothes.  In fact I am in 12-18 mont clothes now!  Not only that but I can move around very fast...Mummy and Daddy say I'm like a seal. I get bored of sitting down and always try to stand up when I can.  Usually I pull myself up on the stair rails or anything else I can get a grip of.

This is me having a bath.....I'm tricky to wash now as I just keep standing up!

Nana and Graddad got Mummy and Daddy a lovely little acer tree which they planted in the front to replace a little tree that died.  We love it and have put some bark down to keep the ground moist.

We also have 2 lovely sunflowers growing in the back garden.  They self-set after we fed the birds with seeds during the winter and Spring.

Cornwall 17th-22nd June 2011

This post is a bit late but Daddy has been very busy.  We went to Cornwall for 5 nights and stayed in a lovely caravan at Little Dinham on the Camel Estuary.  Daddy took me to places that he came to when he was a little boy many years ago and camped with Nana and Granddad.  I was very good travelling both ways in Daddy's car and fell asleep some of the way.  Even when I was awake it was good fun.

The caravan was lovely with plenty of room for me to play on the floor and on the sofas.  As there was no bath I had a shower with Mummy or Daddy each evening.

The first day we went to Port Isaac and had a long walk around.  It  was windy and quite cold but we had fun.  After that we went to a cafe and farm shop just out of town, where I had lunch and played with the lovely little soft truck that Daddy got me.

After this we went for a walk to St Enodoc Church which was fun in my backpack.  there was a wedding on so we stayed in the churchyard.  It was still windy but quite sunny some of the time.  I got a bit grumpy and hungry so Mummy gave me a bottle and I fell asleep.

The next day we went to Pentire Farm and walked to Pentire Point and The Rumps, which was quite hard work for Daddy as he was carrying me in my backpack.  I loved it and was calling out.

When we got home I had some more fun and we all went in the pool at the campsite.  I was a bit unsure at first as it was colder than the usual pool I swim in, but after splashig about and having a shoulder ride I went swimming and even went right under a few times.  Daddy says I'm like a little torpedo when I kick like crazy!  I'm also very strong, as I was bashing him on the head when he gave me a shoulder ride, because I was so excited.

Daddy went out later and took some long exposure photos using a special filter.  The exposures were about a minute long so the sea went all misty.

The next day it was really wet and we went to Padstow.  After walking around the harbour we went in a couple of coffee shops where i had fun as old ladies were making faces at me.

 The last day we went to Lanhydrock House which was amazing.  I loved being pushed around the grounds and having lunch.  I'm ever so good when I eat out now as I sit in a high chair and get lots of attention.

That evening we had a fantastic meal at the Maltster's Arms in Chapel Amble.  The next day we had to come home...I would love to go again.  Here is the caravan we stayed in.  It was 30 feet long and 12 feet wide, so it was very big.

9 months tomorrow

Wow, can you believe it!  I've been a real boy as long as Mummy had a bump while she was making me.

I had a nice day yesterday and had some fun tummy time with Daddy.  He bought me a very little truck a short while ago that has a slightly soft body and runs like crazy when you push it.  I love it as it goes so well and the wheels are good for chewing.  We were playing with that and I was rolling and crawling along. I'm very good at holding things and picking things up now and I can clap and wave too.  Life suddenly became more fun!

Today I went to Mottisfont with Mummy and Daddy and had a lovely day in the gardens and feeding some very tame ducks.  I was very vocal and smiley and quite a few people came up to talk to me.  Someone even asked if I was for sale!

Daddy just took a very light camera kit...he used his Nikon D300 with a Voigtlander 90mm APO Lanthar macro lens and some of the time a small Nikon SB400 for a bit of fill flash.  Daddy likes the Voigtlander as its so small, has lovely build quality and is manual focus.

Daddy was very excited because he saw a big female golden-ringed dragonfly snatch a fly in mid air then land close to him to eat it.  It perched on a plant identity tag and Daddy got very close to it.  Later on he saw it again, but this time perched on a rose.  Its Daddy's first dragonfly on camera this year...yay!

There was so much going on I had to come out of my pushchair and explore

Daddy was very pleased with this duck portrait which was hard to take on a manual focus lens

I so loved it when Mummy fed the ducks...they were nibbling her hands and making her laugh.  It cost me some of my breadsticks, but it was worth it!
