Al-Fresco at Ashley Heath

We all had a lovely afternoon and evening on Saturday in Nana & Granddad's big garden, where Granddad built a big fire so we could all eat outdoors.

We can always rely on Nana to make a huge and delicious spread of food for the grown-ups, but I still have to have the soft food my mummy makes me as I'm little.  I am getting two little teeth starting to show at the bottom though and can bite through breadsticks!

As usual I loved all the attention and love to see my cousins and my Uncle M and Auntie M.

I have been a manic Munchkin these last few days as there has been so much going on I have been very excited.

Apparently I'm dangerous with a large spoon so it got changed for some soft rings!

August Air Shows

Daddy loves aircraft and tires to get to a few air shows each year.  He says he can't wait to take me when I'm old enough!

He went to a brilliant evening show at The Shuttleworth Collection on 13th August where he saw some of the oldest flying aircraft in the World.  He then went to the Bournemouth Air Festival between 18-21st August.  The weather was rather mixed for the Bournemouth show but decent conditions appeared most of the time except on Thursday which saw over 2 inches of rain and was a total washout.

Here are a few photo highlights:

Bristol Boxkite...the pilots always get a big cheer when they land for flying these Edwardian machines

1910 Deperdussin....101 years old!

The Memorial Flight treated us to a dusk flypast in the nice evening light

The amazing B-17 Fortress

These small aerobatic aircraft do what seems impossible!

At the end of this display on saturday Red 4 crashed and the pilot died...precision display flying at these altitudes is a serious business, not just light entertainment

Catching up on July & August 2011

Well, I have been away for 3 weeks now visiting Romania.   Mummy and I are now looking forward to coming home, even though it has been nice for her to see her friends and for me to meet my extended family.

Before we went away Daddy took us all to Kew Gardens in London for a nice day out.  I loved it as I love touching plants and going anywhere where I can have a ride in the pushchair, there is lots going on and people give me attention.

I like to be up on my feet as much as possible now and get a bit annoyed if I have to be strapped into a chair or pushchair for too long!

While I was away Daddy went to see uncle M and family up in Cambridge.  He went to Wicken Fen on Sunday and had a nice walk with Uncle M and Oliver.  The old wind pump had sails on it and was working.

Here is Uncle M stalking dragonflies

We walked quite a long way to a big lookout tower, which Oliver climbed like a monkey.
