Lovely Weather

My Daddy is a grown-up so unfortunately he has been at work during this lovely weather.  When he came home this afternoon we decided to make the best of the lovely warm weather and go to Moors Valley for a nice walk for 2 hours.

We fed the swans and ducks and walked towards Potterne Park.  On the way back I got hungry and so we stopped at a nice picnic bench in the evening sun and I had a banana.  After that I had a lovely time playing on the bench with Mummy and Daddy and playing with some leaves and fir cones.  Daddy took some nice photos as the sun went down.  My Daddy says I am a dear little boy and he likes it when I give him a big hug when he gets home from work.  We usually play ball on the bottom of the stairs for a while when he gets home.

Nana got me a lovely second hand Richard Scarry book last week at Hinton Ampner, in the church stall.  here I am reading it.
This is one cool book.  I laugh when Daddy reads some of it to me

Here I am with Mr Swan at Moors Valley

One of the rare occasions when I didn't take my hat off!

Daddy used Silver Efex Pro to convert this photo to mono

Here I am on the bench...great fun

I was so happy I slapped the bench with excitement.  You can see my new teeth here!  They are good for biting breadsticks

I loved playing with the leaves and other bits....I did keep trying to eat them though!

For the photo geeks; Daddy took these shots on his old Nikon D80 camera with the little Nikon 35mm f1.8 lens.  Natural light only.

Hinton Ampner

Today (Sunday 25th Sept) we went to Hinton Ampner, which is a nice National Trust house and garden in Hampshire.

I was very good and had a lovely day going round in my pushchair most of the time.  I did come out for a nice play on the terraced garden and played peekaboo behind the bushes.

We had a lovely lunch in the tea room and I eventually crashed out to sleep just before we came home.
Huge and knarled old oak tree in the car park

These were the biggest onions Daddy has ever seen!

There were some spooky graves under a big old yew tree

The yew is amazing...its like a giant spider on its back!

My First Train Ride!

After my great birthday party I had to wait a few days before opening some of the presents I got from my friends because my Daddy was at work all the time and wanted to see me open them!  Here I am opening some presents....a lovely Tappy the Turtle hammering toy and some maracas, which I knew what to do with straight away because I'm an experienced music bug!

Today things got really exciting again as Mummy and Daddy took me to the garden centre for lunch and then to Moors Valley, where I went on my first train ride...yay!  I looked a bit intrigued at first but when my hair started blowing in the wind and the train started to zoom along I got very excited indeed.  I was calling out and laughing.

Here I am after my lunch at the garden centre

It was very exciting half way as we had to get off and change trains

I was in a very good mood afterward when we went for a walk but I did keep pulling my socks off!

My 1st Birthday Party

On Wednesday we all went for a walk at Kingston Lacy so I had a good ride in my pushchair.

Daddy took me to Moors Valley for a nice walk and to feed the swans and ducks.  He only had his little iPod to take some snaps with.  I got very excited when Daddy let me stand up on the fishing platform and I called out and waved at them.  They thought I had some more food and came over in a big convoy!  The big swan came very close to me and Daddy said he was getting a bit worried in case the big bird got cross, but the swan was nice to me.

Daddy took me for short whizz at the bottom end of the slide
Mummy organised a really great birthday party for me on Saturday 17th September and she invited lots of my friends from my busy social life.  We had the party in the Wesley Centre, which is a cozy room behind one of the churches in Ringwood.

Mummy got the Music Bugs lady to come so we had her leading us all in songs and actions with all the very interesting props she brings along.

Mummy also made lots of nice food including a special cake for me.  Daddy took some photos for us and then had to go to work as he has been very busy...in fact I have hardly seen him the last few days.  Last  night he got in from work at 9:15pm and then got called out again at 9:40!  I didn't see him again until tonight but he gave me a nice shoulder ride.  Daddy said his best moment at the party was me getting a pair of cymbals and playing them like crazy!

Cousin JB came along and seemed to enjoy it as much as us Munchkins

Here are some pictures of all the Munchkins having fun:
