Uncle "M" Visits, 14th-15th September 2010

Uncle M was kind enough to come all the way from Cambridge to see Theo and catch up with the rest of us.  Sal, JB and Mum and Dad also popped over.

Theo was a bit of a monkey the first two nights at home.  He had a completely nocturnal sleep and activity pattern, being good as gold during the day and full of life all night!  Consequently Gabi and I were up most of the time with him.  He didn't seem to be getting satisfying feeds and just would not settle down.  On Tuesday night there was a big improvement as he was feeding much better and going about 3 hours between feeds and changes.   We all slept much better.  In fact I had a lovely 3 hours dozing with him in our bed this morning.  He looked so peaceful, cute and improbably tiny...it also felt so good to get some sleep!

He had a basic check over on Tuesday by a visiting midwife and health visitor and was proclaimed a fit, active and strong little boy.

Here are a few images from Tuesday taken on the D700 with 50mm F1.4G lens and bounced SB800 flash balanced with ambient light to varying degrees.

Gabi is so happy with Theo she could eat him!
