My actual birthday

It wasn't until 12th september that I was actually two.  I'm such a talking boy now and I just keep growing!

I had more presents to open on my proper birthday and had some lovely ones from all my family.  Mummy and daddy got me a Mike the Knight Glendragon Castle, as I love the little character on TV and especially his horse!  Uncle and auntie M sent me a lovely bag for playgroup or school with my name on it, Auntie S sent me a fab t-shirt with weird sharks on it and Nana and Granddad sent me a lovely book with felt sea animals that you stick to the pages, plus a lovely blue sweatshirt.  As usual I'm obsessed with anything to do with horses and keep asking for the Seahorse to stick on.

They have a seahorse in the aquarium shop at the garden centre and I always go to see him when I visit with Daddy.  I think the seahorse knows me as he comes to the glass to say hello.

Anyway here are some photos of me opening presents after my party and on my real birthday.  Daddy said the house was transformed from a mess to an apocalyptic mess.  There are also some of me at the table playing with my animal beads and a horse...funnily enough!

My 2nd Birthday Party

On Saturday 8th September, I had a party at the nice hall at the United Reformed Church in Verwood, where I have gone to Tuesday playgroup for a long time now.  I know it was lots of work because Mummy was shopping, baking things and decorating cakes for ages, Daddy had to fetch a carload of toys from the Toy Library and set them all up and Ruru made lots of sandwiches.  Nana and Granddad were fantastic too as they made a chocolate cake and had me for a few hours so I didn't get in the way of preparations and get too excited to have a nap.  Its no good being tired and grumpy at your own party!

When I arrived I dived straight in the ball pit and this was my favourite thing.  I was manic, diving into the pit and I soon invented a new game of throwing all the balls out of the pit!   I also went crazy jumping on the huge mega blocks which we had and went racing through the tunnels.  Our friends Alex and Kevin brought their bouncy castle too, which we had outside on the grass.  Mummy did a huge spread of food and I decided I was addicted to nachos, which I ate until they had to be taken away!  I also had an amazing cake which had a Mike the Knight picture on it.  There were matching cup cakes with small pictures too!

It was really good to have Ruru, Nana and Granddad and James there and a nice surprise when Auntie S turned up too.  She helped us clear up at the end, which was also a lot of work for the grown ups.  I still had fun while it was all going on...I love being a munchkin.

This is me the morning of my party, with Mummy and my horse

Bye-bye Summer

As usual lots has been happening around here.  I am growing so fast that neither Mummy or Daddy or my clothes can keep up.

On the August bank Holiday we went to the Rustic Fayre at Verwood where Daddy does the Tae Kwon-Do demonstration every year.  This was the first time Daddy has been as a black belt and he took the chance to do some destruction in the arena, when he smashed through a chunky piece of wood.  Afterwards he wanted a shot of me on his shoulders like we took last year.

Here is my Dad in his black belt dobok

Here I am on my Dad's shoulders...I was a bit tired by then, so I had my Dummy!!  Oh dear.

This is my Daddy's belt
After this it was the excitement of my first full air show at the Bournemouth Air Festival.  I went with my childminder, Christina, on friday and then again to meet daddy for the last part of the show on saturday.  I was not at all scared even when I saw the noisiest planes, which were two Tornados tearing about together and the mighty Vulcan.  In fact I was hugely excited.

My Daddy got me an inflatable Vulcan, which I love.  He says I am lucky to have seen the last one flying, especially as it probably won't be flying much longer
We went to the Hub yesterday and I had a run about as usual.   I found a nice stick to play with.

Today we had to get Mummy's car serviced so we had to suffer some very dull shopping while we waited.  Just when I had really had enough like my Dad, Mummy bought me a wonderful horse, which is a soft toy, but he has a removable pouch containing wheat, which can be microwaved so he can be a bedtime snuggle buddy.  I am still obsessed with horses.  Mummy recorded the Burleigh horse trials for me and I just want to keep watching it!! We then went to Nana and Granddad and had some nice tea and nibbles in the afternoon.  I played in the garden and then Granddad read me stories.

Summer fun

I ve been having a lovely time as I grow up this summer.  I have spent time with both Mummy & Daddy and Nana and Granddad who help out when Mummy & Daddy are working or sometimes when they are at Tae Kwon-Do.  Nana and Granddad say I am very good when I stay and I love being there as they play with me, read to me and let me run around in their huge garden.

A little while back I went to Moors valley for a "Nuts About Nature" day, when they let me dip in a pond and daddy tole me what all the minibeasts were.  We then went into a meadow and used a net to catch crickets and other bugs.  Finally I did some drawing with Mummy.  The weather was a mixed bag but then it brightened up a bit and I ran around near the visitor centre like crazy in my sunglasses.

We have also discovered a nice garden at the Stewarts Garden Centre at Broomhill.  Its great as there is a big climb and slide thing and some nice animals, all in a clean area with lots of grass to run on.

Dad took me for a run around at Knowlton Church

Here we are at the Stewarts Garden, this time with Nana & Granddad
