Its been a busy few weeks here so we haven't been out and about much...well I have been to my activities and the childminder, but we haven't had many days out.

The weather has been so bad its been difficult to even go out and kick a ball around!

We did go to Bere Regis open gardens when Daddy was off work.  the weather was not as nice as promised but it was a nice day.  We had coffee and cake at the Drax Hall then checked out the gardens.  The best one was by the Bere Stream...Granddad would love it!

Today we went to Mottisfont Abbey as we had missed our usual June trip there.  It was lovely and hot and I had a great time running around.  A kind lady gave me some bread so we fed the huge fish in the river.  They were so crazy they splashed us all!

I saw a brilliant wire horse sculpture and wouldn't leave it alone.  I got grumpy when I found out I wasn't allowed to ride on it but Daddy gave me a shoulder ride instead.

A week with Daddy

This week has been quite different because Daddy had a week off work which was meant to be for a holiday where we were to go camping.  However, Mummy got a large interpreting job that seems to be going on for 2 or 3 weeks and so Daddy has been looking after me instead.  He has taken me to all my usual toddler groups and for other trips out to Nana and Granddad and Moors Valley.

Yesterday I had a very busy day and after Twinkle Toes, Messy Play, lunch and a runaround at The Hub and then some cooking at home....we went to Moors Valley.  I went running like crazy around the whole lake, finding sticks and leaves to play with and there was a big herd of cows to see.

Heavy Horse Farm Park

Today I was a lucky boy as I went to Nana and Granddad's for a while and had some lunch there when Mummy and Daddy came back from Tae Kwon-Do.

I then went to the Heavy Horse Farm Park.  As soon as I went in I got very excited by a shetland pony with a small carriage and I went for a ride.  There were huge horses there too and all sorts of other animals, including donkeys and goats.  To be honest some of them were a bit scary and the goats started fighting, which was exciting.  I went in another carriage drawn by a heavy horse and then on a cool tractor ride .  By that time I was really zonked and so tired that I fell asleep almost straight away in the car.  What a lovely day!

Saturday 16th June

Today was very interesting.  Mummy left very early this morning to go to London and Daddy had to get me ready to visit Nana and Granddad and load all my stuff, plus his Tae Kwon-Do stuff and camera gear, into his car.  He dropped me at Nana's then went to a tae Kwon-Do grading to help out and take some pictures.

I had a great time at Nana's and when Daddy got back I was eating my lunch.   Daddy dressed up smart today which is quite unusual for him.  He got presented with his big Black Belt certificates.  They almost took off in the wind when he took them out of the car at home!

Daddy then took me and cousin James to Moors valley , which was very exciting.  The weather was awful as usual, but it didn't stop us having fun...after all I am British and have a Queen, so I have to be weather proof.

It was brilliant having James there because he showed me how to climb and we had loads of fun.  We did almost the whole play trail including the two new features.  I surprised my Daddy by climbing up the full height of the Funnel Trap feature on the rope lattice.

Queen's Jubilee Weekend

When Daddy was off work at the start of June  it was the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.  Daddy says she is a very nice, hard working lady and having her makes our country different from all the others.  She does look nice like Nana, but is quite old.  She must be nice because she gave my Daddy and all the other Police and Soldiers in service a medal for her Jubilee.  That's a lot of medals and it must have taken her ages to wrap them all up!

Anyway, everybody seemed to celebrate and I had red, white and blue balloons tied to my pushchair.  Mummy, Daddy, I and some friends of mine went to a nice Jubilee celebration on the green at Verwood.

Mummy got me some second-hand mega blocks which were an instant hit as there was a horse and I'm obsessed with horses!  A horse is called a Yockhe in my language.

June is here!

We are getting well into the summer now.

On Thursday I went to Nana and Granddad's for few hours because Daddy was at work and Mummy had night school.  The next day I was making some amazing animal noises and Daddy said I sounded like a group of monkeys and a herd of wildebeest.  He wondered what I had been watching on the television!  Well, it was a really great program full of wild animals.  I was also very excited about a ball that Nana and Granddad got me.

I went to Christina's today (my childminder) and had a lovely time because she took us to Honeybrook Farm.

When I came home I went outside with Mummy and Daddy as they had been busy in the garden today and were finishing off some work.  I went crazy and was running about, playing in my car and with my ball.  Daddy gave me a ride on my scooter and showed me a beetle that looked like a wasp.  I love being outdoors and never want to come back inside.

The garden looks nice now with huge poppies in the beds, foxgloves coming out and some lovely iris's.  Daddy was excited because 5 big dragonflies have emerged in the last 2 nights.  He did a lot of cleaning in the pond today.
